On the Air-NBC-1947


Here's a rare educational (as well as self-promotional) comic booklet put out by the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) in the late forties to explain all the hard work that went into radio and why we should really thank NBC for all the effort. Although nicely drawn in a familiar style, i can't identify the artist.

This fun comic gives a nice picture of a bygone industry. I always wished I could have participated in Golden Age radio production.

The artist is Sam Glankoff, who drew many promotional comics. He worked for Parents Mag Press, Funnies Inc. and Toby. He has a Lambiek listing:
