Young Paul's "America Awake Club" may make him sound like a burgeoning tea-partier but he and his kid gang manage to stop racketeers from profiteering on wartime scrap metal drives...although quite frankly, I'm a little confused as to exactly what the scheme was.

Although a mainstay at Timely, Ernie Hart also did Funny Animals for Quality (as seen here) as well as some work for Charlton. In the sixties, he wrote a few superhero strips at Marvel as well as contributed to PUSSYCAT, the girlie strip published by one of Marvel's "sister companies" utilizing Marvel talent.

I love the logo and the stylized splash panel but what's with the thick colored circle panels throughout? And more than that, our hero appears in exactly 14 panels other than the splash above and in 12 of those his face is completely or partially obscured. Did the artist not like drawing him or what?

I'm tempted to say the unidentified artist here is Warren Kremer, eventually to set the house style for Harvey Comics. This would be an early work but it WAS published by a division of Harvey! Experts? The clown himself looks like Warren's work as does the goose to me.
