Always fun to have a Krigstein tale here. This one doesn't have much in the way of his trademark out of the box creativity yet but some delightfully odd facial expressions throughout. 

Kerry Drake-Alfred Andriola-1949

Here. the famous newspaper comics detective attempts to counter early criticism of crime comics. Andriola was notorious for having assistants do most of the work--especially for the non-strip reprint comic BOOK versions of KERRY--but at this early stage, this may well have been him.

Between stints on Captain Marvel and Jimmy Olsen, Pete Costanza was--at least here--a Good Dog Artist!
