Harry Sahle was the artist who refined Bob Montana's original vision of ARCHIE into essentially the form we have known and loved for more than 6 decades now. Harry then went over to Quality Comics and created one many female versions of the same theme in Candy O'Conner. CANDY originated--a little oddly perhaps--in POLICE COMICS but went on to a long and healthy run in her own title that lasted until Quality went out of business more than a decade later.
