Funnyman-John Giunta-1944

Okay, now this is odd. First of all, this is NOT Siegel and Shuster's Funnyman! In fact, this guy is the villain of the piece, a variation on the ruthless Joker of early Batman stories. This seems to have been his only appearance, in a one-shot CISCO KID comic put out by the Bernard Baily shop (he of DC's SPECTE and HOURMAN fame). The art here, though, although remisiscent of the Robinson/Meskin/Roussos team on Batman, is by John Giunta, the artist for whom Frank Frazetta worked as an assistant early on.
