Dolly-Tex Blaidell-1952

Artist Tex Blaisdell is perhaps best remembered for his long stint inking Superman stories for DC in the 1970s. Or maybe for his time as the artist on the LITTLE ORPHAN ANNIE newspaper strip...or his appearance on TO TELL THE TRUTH. Here, however, we see the young Tex in what appears to be "Howie Post" mode!

On pages 5 and 6, the giant is barefoot; on page 8, he is shod.

The look of this story reminded me of later, “underground” comics. Of course, no one was crushed in this story.
