In answer to a surprising number of requests, here's the only other Talking Toad story I have seen, the origin! Apologies for the less than stellar scans but they were a lot worse before I made some efforts at cleaning them up. GCD lists at least one other adventure. I'll keep an eye out!

There have been superhero comics that have spent pages upon pages summarizing previous stories, taking no chances about readers not being up to speed, but that is obviously not the way of the Talking Toad.
I was disappointed the Talking Toad wasn't... well, 'real' isn't the right word... I guess 'alive' is... though that begs the question how it could smell anything in the office in the other tale.
100% NOT to criticize your scan, but was there any important information in that blue caption in the first panel? Despite your efforts, I'm sorry to say I find it completely unreadable.
