Daydreams That Became a Nightmare-Lee Elias-1967

Lee Elias had been one of the early comics artists to come out of the Caniff "school" of comic art. By this point in his prolific career, he had developed a more recognizable and unique style of his own. In later years, he would, himself, become a teacher at the KUBERT school!

Archie-Dan DeCarlo-1985

Perhaps the ultimate Bronze Age Archie story, this one has the whole gang meeting up with Richard Goldwater, Michael Silberkleit, Vic Gorelick, and all the rest of the artists and writers and colorists and even secretaries at Archie. There's even a cameo by then-retired John Goldwater and Louis Silberkleit.

Some lovely Bob Powell art on this piece, topped off by another of his notable splash pages.

Hopalong with Hopalong Cassidy-1947

An unusual Hoppy-related feature. well, barely Hoppy related. GCD shows question marks for the artist but I see what looks like "del" signed at lower right above. Anyone?

The Bionic Woman-Ian Gibson-1978

Some great early work from Ian Gibson, perhaps best known for his later work for 2000 AD  including his great collaboration with Alan Moore, THE BALLAD OF HALO JONES.
