Beware of the Black Panther-1953

Most of you probably know that for many years comic books had to have at least two non-comics text pages in order to qualify for the all-important second class mailing privileges. Some companies made these pages letters pages or announcement pages. Most, though, stuck with often unreadable short fiction (although Mickey Spillane and Stan Lee wrote some back in the day!). Here we have, from the Atlas comic, UNCANNY TALES, a very modern sounding title, more than a decade before Jack and Stan brought us THE Black Panther! And it's actually a reprint from ADVENTURES INTO TERROR two years earlier! The one panel of art is credited to Tony DiPreta.
