Archie-The Interpreter-1960

Here's an unusually serious Archie story about an issue that still is in the news these days. I think I know who the artist is on this one but not enough to go on record with it.

The art looks to be a very rushed Harry Lucey or a Lucey wannabe. FCS is great fun, but PLEASE cite the issues of your scans.

I purposely don't cite issues or even titles very often because I've seen too many blogs of this type get in trouble for what they post. For the most part, I generally avoid major characters and only about 10%-20% of my posts are not public domain. As it is, within the past year I was instructed to remove certain stories immediately.

According to Bart Beaty's treatise, "Twelve Cent Archie", Lucey not only provided this story's artwork, but re-drew the same story "virtually panel for panel twice in the same decade." (pp. 60-61).

Yes, this was redrawn panel for panel and published in 1969 in Everything's Archie #2. You can see both examples of the story here: http://eepomigosh.blogspot.ca/2009/09/archie-114-readers-choice-butterfingers.html
