CASEY, CRIME PHOTOGRAPHER was one of many generally short-lived titles based on popular radio series in the late forties and early fifties. The trend would later continue with popular television series but few of the titles were ever particularly successful. You'll note that Casey pretty much just observes the story and takes pictures for his newspaper. On the air, he was a little more involved in the plots. Art here is credited to Vernon Henkel. Now rather obscure, he died in 2009 at the age of 91 after working more than half a century as a comics and commercial artist.
