Timely gave up or lost the Terrytoons license to St. John in the late 1940s and the upstart company ran with it, eventually using Mighty to front the world's first 3-D comic! Along the way, even the series' filler was fun, as in this tale of one of Mighty Mouse's ancestors.

The art on this is by Jim Tyer. He was an animator for Paul Terry during this time in addition to doing lots of Terrytoon comic book work.
