Hortense-Allen Ulmer-1949

Harlan Ellison retroactively put JINGLE JANGLE COMICS on the map with his long after the fact essay on "The Pie-Faced Prince of Pretzelburg" by George Carlson
but the title contained more good stuff as well. In fact, most of the art was pretty impressive and the stories rather surreal. Here's a very stylish one from a later issue by Allen Ulmer.

The style is very Dick Briefer-ish.

That story won by a landslide.
