The Monkees had a rather poor excuse for a song called Peter Percival Patterson's Pet Pig Porky and I randomly heard it for the first time in years today. For no other reason. tonight's entertainment is not Porky but rather Peter Pig (no relation).
This pig in a world otherwise filled with humans led me to look up 'The Laws of God, The Laws of Man' by A. E. Housman (I particularly like the unexpected Saturn/Mercury line), and said poem could easily be the rallying cry for any anarchic funny animal.
