The first appearance of the venerable Blue Beetle. Here more than ever, with his suit and hat, one can see that he was derived wholly from radio's Green Hornet. Although everything about the character has been inconsistent almost from the beginning, there is still a Blue Beetle around in 2012. Some sources indicate Will Eisner as the writer here.
