As you may have heard, the great painter Jeffrey Catherine Jones died today. Known best perhaps for her fantasy paperback covers of the seventies as Jeff Jones, the artist's roots were in comics even though very few of them ever came from his (later her) drawing table. Here's one that did--a brief DC tale from 1971 scripted by Gerry Conway. R.I.P. Catherine.
