I have no idea who wrote or drew this 1947 funny animal story and neither does GCD. Other sources, however, indicate that cartoon guru Joe Barbera worked on at least some issues of the "Red" Rabbit title from which it comes. Whether or not he wrote this well-drawn piece, if you imagine it with voices by Daws Butler and Don Messick (and maybe Alan Reed as the Lion), it reads much like one of Hanna-Barbera's later TV menagerie cartoons!
