The number of negative stereotype Asian caricatures in American comic books before, during, and after World War II was staggering. Here we see a rare, realistic (but for the extreme coloring) depiction of Japanese-Americans in an exciting, uncommon indictment of prejudice.

It's quite refreshing to see the occasional counter-example to the bigotry of the day...and disheartening to know that even today there are so many low-minded people who think that society wishing for all people to be treated with respect is some form of tyranny that must be fought to the death.
