Basil Wolverton did some pretty strange serious comics in his day and some extremely insane silly ones, too...like this one. With the exception of Timely's POWERHOUSE PEPPER, nearly all of Wolverton's work was in unheralded back-up stories so they're always a treat to find when paging through Golden Age comics ( or scans thereof). SCOOP SCUTTLE is from a 1944 issue of CAPTAIN BATTLE, JR.
