The White Rider and His Super Horse-1940

This character--a Lone Ranger variant--poked around for a decade or more at a couple different publishers and himself may have inspired the original Ghost Rider and maybe even marvel's Black Rider. This is his debut.

I like the art style, but I'm less enthused about the crabbed--if information-rich--layouts. I've heard Simon & Kirby credited with opening up comic book pages with bigger panels and Eisner was all about the unity & integrity of the page, both of which make pages more readable. But, again, I do like the drawing style and I like the composition within the panels themselves.
