A variation on yesterday's theme of funny animals and their creators, this one done by, of all people, Carl Wessler, best known for his horror scripts for EC and later DC.
Well, it's not the slickest cartooning ever, but it's got character, which goes a decent way with me.
Apropos to a degree, I suddenly realized why I don't really care for most Golden Age superhero stories, though I like Golden Age funny animals and the Silver Age & after superheroes. Golden Age superheroes live in the mostly real--or mainstream media--world where usually the heroes are only fantasy element, whereas Golden Age funny animals and Silver Age & on superheroes lived in their own wonky fantasy worlds. It's the whole fantasy world that draws me in.
