Skunk jokes, Hitler jokes and Hell jokes. A bizarre combination in a funny animal tale by an unknown writer and artist and yet it all seems to combine for an almost modern effect.
Whoa. Incredible. Best post since 'The Hunchback'. It's always refreshing to realize that even a middle-aged information sponge like myself has not yet seen it all. I really appreciate this blog. Thanks so much and keep up the great work.
As here, some of the golden-age funny animals stories from the more marginal publishers remind me of later, “underground” comics from the late '60s and early '70s. I don't know to what extend the earlier comic inform the later comics, and to what extent they simply proceed from something shared and prior to each.
