Liquid X-Leonard Starr-1942


Here we see some more very early work from the great Leonard Starr who would go on to pioneer realistic art in comic strips such as his classic ON STAGE after years of toiling in the back pages of comic books doing potboilers like this.

This was probably inspired by an episode of the Lights Out radio series, "Oxychloride X," about a chemical that dissolved anything it touched.
