Radio and film personality Judy Canova had a very popular hillbilly act in the forties and beyond and was also the mother of seventies TV star Diana Canova. In 1950, she had three issues of her own comic book published by Fox. A few years earlier, however, we find her here in an unlikely team-up with the post-Simon and Kirby Boy Commandos at DC!

The Electronic Man-Wham-1968

Mark Merlin-Mort Meskin-1962
Mark Merlin was a third string Silver Age hero at DC who was eventually changed into Prince Ra-Man which must have seemed like a good idea to someone at the time. Before that, though, he had some mediocre adventures with some late period art by Mort Meskin who, in spite of his simplified style at this point, still had some fascinating layouts.
