Spectacles of Doom-Bill Everett-1949

I've said it before and will no doubt say it again: Bill Everett started out at a high point and in spite of having to battle some infamous personal demons ended his career in the '70s with some of his best work ever. Here from a point in between we see some particularly creative Everett work!

Everett was good even at his lowest ebb in the middle 1960s on "Doctor Strange" and "Sub-Mariner." You can see him making his way back on "Strange," inking and coloring jobs and western shorts before winding it all up on a very high note with a triumphant return to SUB-MARINER. An all-time great who ranks with ANY of the comic book masters.
