Meta is in these days but even in 1951 it was nothing new. This Jinx tale harkens back to the Fleischer brothers' Out of the Inkwell cartoons that began in the 1920s.
It's always to see Joe Edwards' Li'l Jinx even if she's older-looking than she would later be. I like those nice, thick lines he was using, too. Really makes the images pop.
For the longest time, I disliked Jinx and usually skipped her stories but now I've become a big fan of Edwards and his often creative work! He carved his own space at Archie and for 30+ years, they just seem to have left him alone to play in that space!
