Combine Iron Man and the Hulk and what do you get? The Iron Hulk, of course! Only this robot story came out several years prior to Iron Man OR the Hulk!
The story's OK, though obviously not so original, but what the heck is the deal with that final caption? It sure attempts to shoehorn in a completely different ending than the final panel would suggest. Not that I would have any problems if they had taken another page and shown that ending. Was this a pre-code inventory piece that ran afoul of some anti-tragedy clause? Was there a Comics Code Authority anti-tragedy clause? Did Joe Sinnott just not pace the story right? Otherwise he did an attractive job with this.
Yeah, that last caption is just awkward comics story-telling.
