Talk about "old school!" According to online info, artist Jameson would have been 70 years old when this story was done. he was known for children's books and would retire just 7 years after this.
Hm...You're absolutely right in that it looks more like Brady than Jameson. I had to look 'em both up, but yeah. Got my info from GCD. Need to remember it's not always correct. Thanks!

This doesn't look like Arthur Jameson. To me, it looks like Bill Brady, one of the many unsung heroes of funny (animal) art.
