Any Bonds Today-Radio's Biggest Stars-1945

I'm not sure WHAT these are, actually. In 1945, the US had the 7th War Loan and a number of newspapers ran one or more of these cartoons promoting war bond sales in conjunction with it. The thing is, they're all credited to the likes of Jack Benny, Bing Crosby, and Fibber McGee and Molly! Drawn by various gag panel cartoonists, I wonder how much the stars actually had to do with these mostly unfunny cartoons.

Yes, wartime humor could be pretty thin. However, once upon a time, many political and gag-panel cartoonists were superstars, and George Lichty was one of the most celebrated. Such fluid style and technique are virtually forgotten today.
