Big Boy-Dan DeCarlo-1957

Here we see the East Coast Big Boy from the period where the Big Boy comics were still being produced by the company that would eventually become Marvel.

Nice artwork by DeCarlo with his style shining through everything but the advertising mascot. I've discovered over time that DeCarlo at his cartooniest and Wally Wood at his cartooniest share a lot in common, though I wouldn't know who influenced who or who was a common influence.

Story-wise the writer did a good job with rather tried & true motifs, but what a weird final message for a corporation to be leaving with their young customers.
