Here we have the real life Starsky and Hutch cop team that inspired a bestselling book, a good but mostly ignored feature film, and this one-shot comic book from a division of Archie. Unlike the other media, the comic was hampered by the fact that it couldn't really address the duo by the nicknames that caught the public's imagination--Batman and Robin.

Frank Thorne did a good job on this, but that initial bust looks like entrapment to me: to paraphrase their plan, 'Let's incite them to commit a crime so we can arrest them... And make our stats good!' It looks Thorne might have felt likewise because our two 'heroes' look pretty damn sinister in places.
