B Gordon Guth is Bernard Guth, my grandfather, and he created about 30-40 Candid Charlie editions in his 20s as a young comic illustrator. He was a very interesting fellow, an artist, inventor, author and business man who owned a electronics store in downtown Manhattan for 40 years. Thank you for posting these images.
