The Golden Prince-Edd Ashe-1961

Better, less-rushed looking art than the artist often did for Fawcett's DON WINSLOW OF THE NAVY comic book (now available in a hardcover BEST OF...collection!).

There were good artists working for ACG and their stories usually came with some twists and turns. The guy didn't just reference Midas and get the golden touch; he had the wooden and iron touch first. And that framing device with the vagaries of historical accuracy and the secret identity of the narrator. They may not be necessary details, but the author wasn't skimping on then.
