A nice looking splash and some fairly good storytelling on this very late entry into the Golden Age superhero saga. Timely and DC had long since given up on the genre and even Timely's revival had come and gone with nary a ripple. But then there's this guy, still some months prior to The Flash!
Perhaps it were a late entry, but this work is clearly from many years earlier. Not only is the over-all style of drawing that of the early '40s, but the motor vehicles, suits, and police uniforms are distnictly pre-war, and the desk-top telephone subscriber set (2:1) is of the sort that had most of the circuitry in a wall-box.
