When I say, "Dr. Voodoo," you might well say, "Dr. Who?" but that, of course, would be incorrect as this has nothing to do with a space traveling Time Lord. No, this was an early back-up strip in Fawcett's WHIZ COMICS.
they had a million of these jungle things in the Golden age. They were all stupid. they were all based upon a view of Africa that never existed. Most of them were racist. They often made up their own natives so some of them has white natives in Africa. Some jungle were not in Africa; he early Phantom had white natives becuase it was set in India originally. Jungle Jim was set in southeast Asia (I think) and had white natives not oriental.
there were some bizar one's too.Fantomah strip in Jungle Comics first drawn by Fletcher Hanks is one of the most bizar ever.
