The Sparkman was one of the few original series appearing in SPARKLER, one of the several long-running comic books that consisted mainly of reprints of popular newspaper strips. This was his final appearance.
Stylistically, this work looks as if were from five or more years earlier.
About half of the story is the Spark Man trying to stop the King of Manhattan from ramming his boat into the barge, an effort at which the Spark Man triumphantly fails.
And, speaking of failure, the Spark Man seems not to have saved the hapless victims. He seems not even to have recovered their cadavers. (The bodies that he did find were centuries dead.)
Honestly, better to have Inspector Gadget on the case.
