According to GCD, the artist here is Pauline Comanor, known at one time as the nations' ONLY girl cartoonist! She has a fascinating story which went right up until 2005 and she still maintains a posthumous presence on the Web at http://www.chunkymonkey.com/aboutcreator.htm
