Volton-Joe Kubert-1942


Here's what looks to me to be an Eisner-inspired Joe Kubert at around age 16! Volton, a backup character in CAT-MAN COMICS, was the very first superhero Kubert drew, starting just 3 issues prior to this story.

    Rather depressingly, Roy Thomas later brought this character back as a villain for INVADERS.

    Oh well, it's nice to see him as he was originally intended.
