Arms of Doom-Ruday Palais-1951

Harvey's 1940's costumed stuntwoman, The Black Cat, gave her book over to horror stories at the end of the decade with its title changed to BLACK CAT MYSTERY. In the early fifties, the company, which would later become known for its squeaky clean kids comics led by Casper and Wendy, published horror comics that sometimes made EC look tranquilized! This tale of an Octopus man isn't too gruesome, just suitably weird. Art is by Rudy Palais who worked for most companies for about three decades, being perhaps best known for his contributions to CLASSICS ILLUSTRATED.
