I never realized that ...Thank you for posting this! I never realized that the 1972-era Gold Key comics "The Little Stooges" were, in fact, remakes of the earlier Three Stooges comics. Same artist for both titles, Norman Maurer, same story and title (99-44/100% Puritan). The artwork in the earlier title is quite beautiful- very detailed, balancing caricature with realism. I agree, Maurer was a heck of an artist! The later title had simplified the story and the artwork somewhat, removed the Indian brides, had the boys speaking Standard English and replaced Shemp with Curly's lookalike son.
