Robot Archie and the Z-Ray

We've posted a lot of Archie clones here but this one is a whole 'nother Archie! This is the UK's famous and long-running Robot Archie, seemingly guest starring a Boris Karloff clone!

Rocketman--Strange Fantasy-1952

Here's one of those odd in-between superheroes. Most others had faded away and the revival was still a few years off but there were a handful of short-lived heroes who popped up in the interim. 

Demon of Destruction-Al Williamson/Frank Frazetta-1951

Technically this is early work from Al Williamson with assists from Frank Frazetta but it looks much more to me like Fritz's style with input throughout from Willie.

Groucho Marx-Lee Elias-1949

A lot of celebs wandered through this series. This one kinda loped.

Private Eye of Venus-Carmine Infantino-1957

Comics lost one of its greatest stylists when Carmine Infantino moved into management at the end of the 1960s at the peak of his powers. Sadly, by the time he picked up his pencil again a decade or so later, he was  still good but past his prime. 

The Blue Lady-Frank Frollo-1941

Here we have one of the very few superheroines to have preceded Wonder Woman. This is her final appearance from late 1941.
